Dan and Andrea Schacher welcomed Spencer Timothy into the world on August 14th at 10:28 pm....6 lbs. 8 oz. and 18 1/2 inches long. What a blessing! Congrats Dan, Annie and Big Sister Marissa.

The Power of a Praying Parent

Next to my kitchen sink stands a 'flip calendar' filled with quotes from Stormie Omartian's book, The Power of a Praying Parent. I love staring at it and meditating on the thoughts it shares. The pages of the calendar are swollen from being constantly splattered with water. They are a constant reminder that our kiddos need to be bathed in prayer, not just soap and water. The battle between flesh and blood is real and our children are in the mix.



"We want our children to be known for their goodness. We want our children to be attractive to others because of their purity. This doesn't just happen. It must be taught. And although we can do much to teach our children, the real teacher is the Holy Spirit." -August 10th
